6.5.1.3 Wiring Identification

Control
circuit wiring and terminals shall be identified in accordance
with Chapter 2 of the National Electrical Code.
Comments:
This criteria is evaluated during the initial SRCC system
certification review.
In
the field, installers must make sure that they use the materials
provided with the certified SRCC system and follow the National
Electrical Code.
An
installation example that applies to this criterion would be the
installation of a photovoltaic module connected to a DC pump.
As illustrated in Figure 1 below, matching red and black wiring
allows the installer to make the proper connections between the
two components. (Note that SRCC requires a manual On/Off switch
for disconnecting photovoltaic modules from a DC pump. The connector
shown in Figure 2 is not acceptable.)
