APPLY FOR CERTIFICATION - INTERIM COLLECTOR CERTIFICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Please refer to the Interim Collector Certification Policy Document
for additional information.
If a collector has not yet been randomly selected for testing, please follow steps 1 through 4 below to obtain both Interim and subsequent permanent certification.
Important Note: If your collector has already been subjected to the qualification test by a laboratory offering a SRCC Accredited Laboratory Testing Program™: click here.
1. Complete the OG100 application. This application will apply to a single collector model to be tested by a laboratory offering an accredited Testing Program. Additional sizes of this same collector design may be certified without additional testing if the requirements of the Size-Change Policy
are met.
You will need to select a test laboratory that offers a SRCC accredited Testing Program and enter it on the Random Selection Form that is part of the application.
Important Note: SRCC does not contract with any laboratory for collector testing – SRCC accredits the Testing Programs of laboratories only. It is your responsibility to contact the laboratory you choose regarding fees, contracts for testing services, and shipping arrangements.
2. Submit your completed application and the Interim Certification fee of seven thousand dollars ($7,000.00) to SRCC. The fee for interim certification is for the first collector of each design. Please consult the Interim Certification Policy
for fees associated with Interim Certification of additional collector sizes of the same design.
Processing of your application cannot begin until the Interim Certification fee is received. You may send the fee(s) to SRCC by Mail or electronic transfer. If payment is made by electronic transfer, please add $ 30 to cover bank fees and contact SRCC (apply@solar-rating.org) for account information. If you need an invoice, please send an email to (apply@solar-rating.org)
3. SRCC will start the random selection process (described in RS-1
) based on the information provided in the OG100 Application.
4. After the collectors have been randomly selected, coordinate shipping with the testing laboratory offering a SRCC accredited Testing Program which you have selected.
