6.5.2 Auxiliary System

Interconnection
of the auxiliary system to the solar energy system shall be made
in a manner which will not result in excessive temperature or
pressure in the auxiliary system or bypassing of safety devices
of the auxiliary system.
Comments:
This criterion specifies that Temperature and Pressure
Relief Valves must be installed on the auxiliary tank and within
all isolatable portions of the subsystem.
If the solar portion of the system (including the solar storage
tank is isolated), the auxiliary tank will then have its own pressure
and temperature relief devices. (See Figure 1)
