Filters,
if included, shall be designed and located so that they can be
cleaned or replaced with minimum disruption to the system and
adjacent equipment.
Comments:
Installer
must follow the instructions provided in the manufacturer's SRCC
approved installation manual. Only filters deemed proper for potable
water should be used. In addition, it is recommended that installers
check with local building officials when preparing to install
filters on potable service lines (Figure 1).
Once
the filter is installed, the installer should also instruct the
home owner about periodically changing the filter element.
