Criterion 6.2.12 Water Hammer

Criterion text:
When a liquid is used as the transfer fluid and quick-closing valves are employed in the design, the piping system shall be able to control or withstand the effects of water hammer.

Comments:
Water hammer can be annoying to building occupants and damaging to piping systems.

The installer must follow the instructions in the manufacturer's installation manual as well as use accepted plumbing and solar industry practices.
