Criterion 6.2.7 Fluid Compatibility

Criterion text:
Fluids in contact with SWH system materials shall not corrode or otherwise adversely affect system materials to the extent that their function will be significantly impaired during the design life.

Comments:
The installer must follow the instructions provided in the SRCC approved manufacturer's installation manual. Components and heat transfer fluids designated for a specific system must be used.

The installers in Figure 1 are using the system's SRCC approved heat transfer fluid. They are also following the manufacturer's mix recommendation regarding the amount of heat transfer fluid and water mix for that particular climate zone.
