Criterion 6.3.12 Toxicity

Criterion text:
The use of toxic fluids shall comply with the Federal Hazardous Substances Act, Title 15, or its equivalent, and the requirements of the health authority having jurisdiction.

Comments:
This criterion is evaluated by SRCC during the initial system certification review.

The type of fluid required with a particular SRCC certified system is listed in the SRCC approved installation manual and on labels at fill and drain valves.

Installers must be familiar with the system being installed and follow instruction provided in the manufacturer's SRCC approved installation manual during both the initial installation and also during servicing and recharging of the solar system.

The installer must also ensure that identification and warning labels have been attached to all required components.
