| Criterion
6.5.20 Emergency Egress and Access
Criterion
text:
The
design and installation of systems shall not impair emergency
movement of the building occupants.
Comments:
Installer
must be aware of the requirements of this criterion during system
installation. The system must in no way impair the emergency movement
of occupants. Common sense will dictate if system components are
indeed a movement hazard.
The
solar components at ground level in this basement pathway (Figure
1) could present a problem if someone is excitedly attempting
to exit the other side of the basement in the event of an emergency.
